According to recent reports, invoice phishing makes up over 60% of malicious emails targeting the education sector.  VCCCD is no exception, and these attacks are far too varied to cover in detail.  The best way to protect yourself is by not clicking on anything that you didn't expect to receive.

How to avoid becoming a victim

• Don't click on links or open invoice attachments in mail you didn't expect
• Verify with the known contact or publicly listed phone number if you are aware of services provided
• When in doubt, report it to emailabuse@vcccd.edu
