Ally is an award-winning accessibility solution that integrates into your Canvas courses. It helps institutions build a more inclusive learning environment and improve the student experience by helping them take clear control of course content with usability, accessibility and quality in mind. It automatically checks for accessibility issues and generates reports for the teacher as well as provides alternate formats for the student.
Ally is enabled in all your current VCCCD Canvas courses on all three campuses.
Where in the VCCCD Community?
We envision Ally being used anytime a student accesses a course in Canvas; however, we think certain areas might have higher usage for this product. We envision students using this tool in the EAC, Counseling Sessions, Classes on Campus and Online, the Library, Computer Labs, Testing Centers, Tutoring Centers, and more. Please help us out by watching these short videos to better acquaint yourself on how easy this is to use and please help a student when you sense a need.
Video Demonstrations
The entire VCCCD community can benefit from improving courses to be more compliant with ADA standards, but obviously students will benefit the most from this accessible content. Please review our two short helpful videos so that you can help students who visit your area on campus.
