David Pepper is a lawyer, writer, democracy activist, former elected official, and adjunct professor who served as the Chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party between 2015 and 2021. His recent non-fiction works dissect the attack on democracy taking place in states like Ohio, and guide everyday citizens on steps they can take to lift democracy. Pepper’s book Laboratories of Autocracy (2021) has been called “arguably the most important” recent book on American democracy by Salon Magazine, and his follow-up book Saving Democracy: A User’s Manual (2023) has been widely praised and featured on MSNBC, CNN, C-SPAN and other networks.

Join the Moorpark College Music Program for the December 1^st performances of VOICES FROM THE RED CARPET.  Moorpark College’s Concert Choir and Vocal Ensemble present their semester’s explorations of vocal music from your favorite Film, Television, and other Media works.  The concerts are directed by David Castillo, a veteran of the Hollywood session singer world. 

The concerts will be Friday, December 1^st at 11am and at 7pm in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Moorpark College.
