Course Description
Explores musical activity, influences, and contributions of Greek and Roman civilizations. Traces development of music of Western world from Romanesque period to Baroque, including major composers as well as instrumental and vocal forms of each period. Honors work challenges students to be more analytical and creative through expanded assignments, in depth study of chosen works and enrichment opportunities. Requires listening to, identifying, and analyzing representative works of each period. Credit Limitations - Credit will not be awarded for both the honors and regular versions of a course. Credit will be awarded only for the first course completed with a grade of "C" or better or "P". Moorpark College Honors program requires a letter grade. Transfer credit: CSU; UC.

Course Description
This course provides an overview, from a psychological perspective, of human development throughout the entire lifespan from conception through death, including biological and environmental influences. Current theories and research in the areas of heredity and environment, emotion, intellect and cognition, language, socialization, personality, sexuality, maturation, and gerontology will be studied. Emphasis will be placed on identifying and encouraging normal development, with some attention given to recognizing and preventing abnormal patterns. Field trips may be required. Recommended Prep: ENGL V02 or eligibility to enroll in English Composition (ENGL V01A) as determined by the college's multiple measures assessment process. Transfer credit: CSU; UC. Course Description
This is an introductory drawing experience stressing graphic representation of objects through a variety of media and techniques. The fundamentals of pictorial composition, including principles, elements, and practices of drawing, are particularly emphasized in the exploration of a wide range of subject matter. Perceptually based drawing, observational skills, technical abilities, and creative responses to material and subject matter will also be developed. Field trips may be required.
