I am a son, a brother, a husband, a father of four, a curious scientist, and a passionate educator. I love playing soccer, swimming, running, and in the classroom, I love exciting students about Chemistry and showing them how relatable it is.

About
I have been teaching chemistry at Ventura College for the last 16 years. Before this, I taught at Allan Hancock College (Santa Maria, CA) for five years and before that I taught at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo for two years. Yes, that means I am old--as my kids like to point out.
Before all of this teaching, I got a MS in Chemistry at UC-Irvine focused on environmental chemistry, and before that I got a BS in Chemistry from Georgia Tech.
On the personal side, I grew up in Augusta, Georgia (mostly). I have two daughters who are 8 and 11 years old. I like to spend most of my free time hiking, biking and traveling.
