Alexander Rock Fredell boasts over a decade of expertise in Marketing, Advertising, Design, and Multimedia, with more than eight years dedicated to advancing the mission of higher education within community colleges in Ventura County. His diverse experience in community colleges spans from supporting a variety of students to leading marketing initiatives and managing complex projects.
Fredell's passion for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) is deeply personal. As an individual of Coastal Band Chumash and Yaqui descent, he brings a unique cultural perspective to his work. Additionally, he champions accessibility and inclusivity, drawing from his own experiences living with Motor Skills Tourette's Syndrome, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Difficulties.
For the past four years, Fredell has been an integral part of a talented marketing team recognized with several CCPRO awards. His leadership in strategic implementations has transformed various aspects of community college operations, from developing communication plans, websites and chatbots to integrating program mapping tools and other key systems and online resources.
Fredell's collaborative efforts extend across numerous departments, including Distance Education, Dual Enrollment, Student Services and Support Programs, Training & Organizational Development, Academic Programs and Learning Resources, Information Technology and Security, College Police Services, and Business and Administrative Services. His comprehensive approach and unwavering commitment make him a driving force in enhancing the educational experience for all students.
