Beginning Acrylic Painting I

This is a beginning course examining the properties of acrylic as a painting medium. Focus will be placed on principles, elements, and practices of acrylic painting. Painting materials, perceptual skills, color theory, color mixing, color harmonies, and painting techniques will be emphasized as students develop creative responses to materials and subject matter. Field trips may be required. Prerequisites: ART V11A or ART V12A. Transfer credit: CSU; UC. Formerly: ART 46A.
