Course Description
Introduces the students to basic techniques of animal training, including operant conditioning theory, record keeping, and developing a training plan. Concentrates on the history of animal training, reasons for training animals, and factors affecting training success and shaping of new behaviors. Prerequisites: ANCT M17 or ANSC M17, and ANCT M01BL and ANCT M09 or ANSC M09 and ANCT M09L or ANSC M09L or concurrent enrollment. Transfer credit: CSU. Formerly: EATM M21A.
