Introduces the students to basic techniques of animal training, including operant conditioning theory, record keeping, and developing a training plan. Concentrates on the history of animal training, reasons for training animals, and factors affecting training success and shaping of new behaviors. Provides a supervised Wildlife Education presentation involving interpretation of live animals for the annual Spring Spectacular event to be repeated over several weekends at the Teaching Zoo.
