Countywide Resources
If you’re in need of help outside of office hours or need additional resources, visit Ventura County 211. The website is available in both English and Spanish and offers a wide range of information, including info on housing, food, crisis services, health care, substance abuse and legal assistance. And more.
Internet Access
Comcast/ Spectrum is offering free Internet for 2 months for students who cannot afford internet. Comcast it will be increasing speeds for the Internet Essentials program, and making the program free to new customers for two months, amid the coronavirus outbreak. Students, as your classes go online, please contact Comcast/Spectrum to see if you qualify for free internet. Click this link for more information. Comcast offering ‘Internet Essentials’ package free for low-income customers for 60 days.

CalFresh
CalFresh is for low-income people who meet federal income eligibility rules and want to add to their budget to put healthy and nutritious food on the table.
There are three ways individuals can access CalFresh: in person, via phone and online.
Visit one of the Ventura County Human Services locations throughout the county or the Ventura.org website to check eligibility.

Health Care
The Ventura County Heath Care Agency strives to provide high quality preventive care and treatment for the indigent, uninsured and others unable to secure health care services. The Health Care Agency oversees the daily operations of: Ventura County Medical Center, Santa Paula Hospital, Clinics, Public Health, Behavioral Health, Emergency Medical Services, and Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Ventura County Human Services Agency provides public services that promote self-sufficiency, health and wellbeing. These programs ensure the protection of children, the elderly, and dependent adults, and provide a safety net for individuals and families who need assistance with basic necessities, such as food, housing and health care. Additionally, HSA helps people secure employment through education, training, job search skills, and job placement.
