I’ve been teaching mathematics for over 30 years, and for the past 27 of those, I’ve had the privilege of doing so here at Moorpark College. Whether it’s algebra, calculus, or statistics, I love helping students build confidence in math and see its connections to the world around them.
In addition to teaching, I serve as the faculty advisor for two student organizations: Circle K and the AAPI club. Being part of these communities allows me to support students in ways that go beyond the classroom—through service, leadership, and cultural engagement. I also enjoy advising students more broadly on their academic journey, especially when it comes to transfer plans, major decisions, or simply navigating college life.
When I’m not on campus, I enjoy spending time in my garden—it’s a great way to recharge and think about things from a different angle (sometimes even math problems!). I also love spending time with my family, especially when we get the chance to travel together. I’m a proud parent of two college students—one currently at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and preparing to transfer to CSUN, and the other studying at UCLA—so education is a big part of both my professional and personal life.
