Financial aid is money to help pay for college or career education. It comes in the form of grants, work-study, loans, and scholarships that help make college affordable.

Scholarships are gift-aid funded by private donors that do not need to be repaid.  Scholarships are provided in partnership between our colleges and our college foundations.

Students enrolling in classes can expect to pay the following fees:

Additional fees are determined for specialized programs to pay for supplies, course materials, and certifications. If you are looking to enroll into a specialized program such as Nursing, Dental, or Exotic Animal Training and Management, please visit those respective program pages and meet with a counselor for more information on their program fees. Scholarships may also be available to those who qualify.

VCCCD offers a payment plan that allows you the opportunity to make monthly, interest-free payments throughout the semester. The plan includes a nominal, non-refundable enrollment fee of $15. You may enroll in the VCCCD Payment Plan by accepting the Terms and Conditions and paying the $15 nonrefundable enrollment fee. The $15 fee is due immediately in order to activate your Payment Plan.

Payments and Payment Plans are made within ePayment. For additional support with ePayment, please contact your college Student Business Office.

• All prior balances must be paid no later than 1 day prior to enrolling in an installment plan.
• Defaulting on a payment plan may result in ineligibility for future payment plan participation.

Starting on October 28, 2024, you can choose from two payment plan options for the Spring 2025 semester: the Monthly Payment Plan and the Twice-Monthly Payment Plan. You can enroll in either plan between October 28, 2024, and January 31, 2025.

Important Notes:

• The last installment of your payment plan will be due in full on April 5, 2025. 
• Accounts with unpaid payment plans after April 5, 2025 may be subject to restrictions on future payment plans.
• Enroll early to maximize the number of payments and reduce the size of each installment.
• You can add and drop courses as needed while enrolled in a payment plan.
• Payments and Payment Plans are made within ePayment.

Set up your Payment Plan

First, log into MyVCCCD and register for classes. After you've registered, go to the "Payments" page within MyVCCCD and click the ePayment button. Verify your payment amount and then proceed to the ePayment site to complete a payment agreement.

Check Your Account

Log into MyVCCCD and click on the VCCCD ePayment link within the "registration and payments" area. This will lead you to the ePayment site where you can view details about your current payment plan.

Payment Plan Terms & Conditions:

The terms listed below apply to all sections of the Payment Plan and must be agreed to by you as a condition of enrolling in a VCCCD Payment Plan:

• I authorize VCCCD to process payments from my account provided or any subsequent account provided.
• I am responsible for paying each of the installments on time even if I do not receive a reminder notice.
• I am responsible to pay my fees in full even if I do not attend classes. I must officially withdraw to obtain any available refund/reduction of balance.
• If I partially withdraw from classes, any reduction in the cost of registration will be applied against the remaining balance due on the installment payment plan.
• If I add classes after enrolling in my Payment Plan, the additional cost of registration will be added to my Plan and will be spread among the remaining scheduled payments.
• Financial Aid is handled separately from the Payment Plan.
• If Financial Aid or scholarship proceeds are released/awarded to me after my Payment Plan has been executed, the proceeds shall be applied to the balance of the plan.
• Previous term balances are not eligible for Payment Plans.
• All returned checks and credit card charge-backs will result in a $10 service charge. Replacement checks or valid credit card payment must be received before the next scheduled installment or the plan may be terminated and will prevent future enrollment in a VCCCD payment plan.
• If an installment payment date falls on a weekend or a banking holiday observed by the Federal Reserve, the payment will be attempted on the next business day.
• Although VCCCD specifies the date that each payment will occur, I understand that my financial institution determines the time of day that the payment will be debited to my account.
• Defaulting on my installment payments may result in future ineligibility in the VCCCD Payment Plan.
• I am required to re-enroll each semester to participate in the Payment plan.
• Payment Plans do not incur interest, however a $15 Payment Plan enrollment fee will be charged and is due immediately. This fee is non-refundable, and if VCCCD is unable to obtain this fee immediately my Payment Plan will terminate.
• My authorization will terminate when the total balance due has been paid.
• I understand that failure to make my Payment Plan installment payments does not constitute a formal withdrawal from the college.
• I understand that my failure to pay fees owed to VCCCD or otherwise defaulting on my Payment Plan with VCCCD will result in a hold being placed on my student account which will deny future services such as registration.

1. Do I need to sign up for the plan before I can register?

You cannot enroll in a payment plan prior to registration. Enrolling in the payment plan after you have registered for your classes and fees have been assessed is the only way to ensure your classes are not dropped for non-payment.
 

2. When will my enrollment fee of $15 be taken?

The $15 fee is required to be paid upon enrolling in the VCCCD Payment Plan. The $15 fee is non-refundable.
 

3. When will my installment payments be deducted from my account?

Please see the Payment Plan table above. These dates cannot be modified to fit your circumstances, so it is of utmost importance that you make sure your bank account or credit card information is up to date.
 

4. What should I do if I add or drop a class?

If you drop a class or add a class, the remaining installment plan payments will be adjusted automatically to reflect your new balance.
 

5. What if I get added from a wait-listed class after I enroll in a payment plan? Will my payment plan be automatically adjusted to ensure that I won't be dropped for non-payment?

Your payment plan will be adjusted automatically to reflect your new balance. You will not be dropped from the class you have just added.  

NOTE: If you come off of a waitlist, it remains your responsibility for dropping an unwanted class and avoiding additional fees owed.
 

6. Can I terminate my agreement at any time?

Yes. You may request that your agreement be terminated if your account meets the following criteria:

• You are not enrolled for the semester for which the agreement has been submitted.
• You have altered your class schedule and already paid the amount equal to your fees total into the plan.
• You have received financial aid or other funds for the entire amount of your fees or the difference between your balance and what your payment plan has collected.
• All of your fees have been paid. If you terminate your VCCCD Payment Plan agreement and later add a class(es) during registration or from a wait list, you may be dropped if you do not pay the fees related to the added classes.

7. What if I don't have a payment plan in place and I haven't paid my previous term's balance in full?

Students must pay their balance or set up a payment plan by December 16, 2024. If a balance remains after this date and no payment plan is set up, students will be dropped from their Spring 2025 classes. 

 

8. Who is exempt from the drop for non-payment process?

• Active payment plan through MyVCCCD student portal or contact the Student Business Office
• Dual enrollment students (K – 12)
• Receiving financial aid

• Verified military connected students using GI Bill ® benefits

If your employer, the military, or another sponsoring agency will be making payments on your behalf, they must contact your college's Student Business Offices to arrange payments.

If you have someone who is helping you pay for college (such as a family member, legal guardian, etc.), you may provide them access to ePayment by following the provided steps below.

1. In ePayment go to "My Account"
2. Under the "Payers" section, click on the link that says "Send a payer invitation"

    3. A pop-up will appear on the right of the screen where you will insert your sponsor's First Name, Last Name, and Email address. You will need to confirm this email address before continuing.

    4. Add a message to your Sponsor before sending them the invite to pay.

    5. Once everything looks correct, you can click the blue "Send Invitation" button. Your Sponsor should receive a email with instructions.

Please take one of the following actions to ensure you are not dropped:

• Pay your enrollment fees in full upon registration
• Set up a payment plan through the MyVCCCD student portal or contact the Student Business Office
• Ensure any financial aid or other exemptions are in place and active.

Students with an unpaid balance from prior semesters must pay their balance. Unpaid balances from previous semesters may prevent you from registering for classes for the Spring 2025 semester. 

You can view your balance and payment options in the MyVCCCD student portal.

The drop process for unpaid Spring 2025 enrollment fees starts on December 17, 2024.

From October 28–December 16, 2024, we will send reminders about unpaid balances, but you will not be dropped during this time.

After December 17, if you have not paid or set up a payment plan for Spring 2025 enrollment fees, you will begin to be dropped from your classes.

Students meeting any of the following criteria are exempt:

• Active payment plan
• Dual enrollment students (K–12)
• Receiving financial aid
• Verified military connected students using GI Bill ® benefit

The amount of time a student must pay will vary depending on how far in advance they register before the start date of the class. Students have up to 7 days to pay their balance to avoid being dropped for nonpayment. For example, if you register for a class on 9/5 that starts on 9/20 and are notified of non-payment, your grace period will be 7 days. Once the class has started, students will have 1 day to pay for their classes.

*The duration of the grace period depends on the start date of the class.

A student who registers 3 days before the class starts will only have 3 days to pay.

You may re-enroll in a course if there is space, but you will need to ensure payment is made or a payment plan is in place to avoid being dropped again.

All enrollment fees must be paid in full to avoid being dropped from your class. Currently, there is no balance threshold, meaning any unpaid balance could result in a drop.

Yes. Both resident and non-resident students will be dropped if they have any outstanding enrollment fees.

No. The drop for nonpayment process only considers enrollment fees (per unit charge and non-resident tuition) when making that determination. Students who only owe miscellaneous fees will not be dropped.
