In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, referred to as the Clery Act, the Annual Security Report (ASR) is published by October 1st of each year by the VCCCD Police Department and contains three years of crime statistics for each campus, District policy statements, procedures for reporting crimes on campus, and crime prevention tips. The Clery Act specifically requires the reporting of violent crimes, burglaries, motor vehicle thefts, and hate crimes, as well as a summary of arrests and disciplinary referrals for liquor law, drug abuse, and weapons violations. Furthermore, incidents of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking must also be reported as required by the Violence Against Women Act.
The VCCCD Police Department strives to promote a safe campus environment conducive to academic achievement, through cooperation of students, faculty, and staff. With your help in reporting suspicious activity, crime, or incidents, we am confident we can achieve this goal. We encourage the prompt reporting of any incident that threatens the safety, health or rights of the campus college community.
